Pneumococcal Vaccination

Pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV13)

Vaccine is recommended for all children younger than 5 years old and for adults with certain risk factors.

Children 2 years or older who are at high risk of pneumococcal disease should also receive the pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine (PPSV23).

All adults 65 or older — and those 19 or older with risk factors — should receive PPSV23.
