Course Descriptions

 

BLS Provider: 

The BLS Provider (Healthcare Provider) class is designed to cover CPR for adults, children, and infants. This course is designed to not only enhance your BLS skills, but help you build your confidence! Gain confidence and notice with your AHA-accredited BLS.

This course is for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. This course is often required by many hospitals, healthcare facilities, and schools related to the medical field. Individuals such as nursing students, EMT students, PA students and other students will very likely be required to be certified in BLS before or during school sessions

 

Blended Learning BLS   Online + Classroom Skills Session

HeartCode BLS Competency Course is intended for providers who have successfully completed the online portion of BLS training (HeartCode BLS).  The Heartcode online portion is a separate cost and purchase directly through the AHA. 

The BLS Skills Class is approximately 2 hours.  Note: Students must have completed AHA Heartcode online class prior to practice and skills testing. The cost of the AHA online course does NOT include the cost of this skills class!

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

ACLS Provider

This class is designed for RNs, LPNs, physicians, RTs, EMS, and other healthcare providers who either direct or participate in resuscitation of a patient, whether in or out of the hospital.  ACLS is designed to cover these concepts: 1. Identification and treatment of medical conditions that place the patient at risk for cardiac arrest. 2. BLS primary survey. 3. ACLS secondary survey. 4. ACLS algorithms. 5. Effective resuscitation using team dynamics.

 

Blended Learning ACLS-  Online + Classroom Skills Session

HeartCode® ACLS Part 1 uses is an online video based presentation.  Successful completion of Part 1, (Heartcode ACLS), the cognitive component, and Parts 2 and 3, skills practice and testing with an AHA ACLS Instructor, meets the requirements for obtaining an AHA ACLS Provider course completion card.  This course is acceptable for NEW or Renewal certifications.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

 

PALS Provider Course

This class is designed for physicians, nurses, paramedics and respiratory therapists who either direct or participate in resuscitation of an infant or child, whether in or out of the hospital. The goal of the course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.
